Used Vauxhall Corsa door: how to buy one that fits

To buy the right used Vauxhall Corsa door, match four things: the generation, whether your car is 3 or 5 door, the side, and your paint colour code. Which Corsa do you have?

The door changed across the generations and they do not interchange. The Corsa C ran from 2000 to 2006, the D from 2006 to 2014, the E from 2014 to 2019, and the F from 2019. Identify your generation first, because a door from the wrong one will not line up with the hinges, the latch or the surrounding panels. Your registration confirms the exact car.

3 door or 5 door, and which side?

This is the step that catches people out. The 3 door and 5 door Corsas use completely different doors, and the front and rear doors differ again on the 5 door. You also need the correct side: nearside (passenger, left in the UK) or offside (driver, right). Work out exactly which door you need, front or rear, which side, and which body style, before you order.

How do I get the colour right?

A door is a large panel, so colour matters more than on a small part. Match your paint colour code, found on the VIN plate or the door shut sticker, and a colour matched used door can go straight on. If the colour does not match, the door will need painting, so factor that in. The listing should always state the colour so you know what you are getting.

Bare shell or complete door?

Decide what you need. A complete door comes with the glass, window regulator, interior trim card, handles and wiring already fitted, which saves a lot of work. A bare shell is just the painted skin and frame, cheaper but you transfer your own internals across. For most repairs the complete door is the easier and better-value choice.
