Transmission & Drivetrain (594)
Used gearboxes and drivetrain parts: manual and automatic gearboxes, differentials, transfer boxes, propshafts, driveshafts, flywheels, clutches, gearbox mounts and oil cooler pipes, removed from known donor cars in Doncaster and inspected before listing. Hundreds of parts across BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, Jaguar, Hyundai, Peugeot and Vauxhall. Each listing names the donor car, engine and gearbox code or part number, so match the code, or send us your registration and we will check before you buy.
Which gearbox fits my car?
A gearbox is matched by its own code, not the engine. The same engine was often paired with several boxes: a BMW 320d E90 could have a six speed manual or a ZF 6HP19 automatic (1071301274), and ratios changed between years. Differentials carry a ratio in the title, such as 2.56 or 3.15, which must match your car or the speedo and traction systems will be out. VW group codes are three characters, such as 0A4 or 0B5, cast into the housing. Check the code on your own unit, or the V5C and dealer, before ordering.

Does a used automatic gearbox need coding or adapting?
Many modern automatics, including ZF and Mercedes 7G-Tronic units, hold adaptation values and sometimes a control module inside the box. After fitting, a specialist usually resets adaptations and may need to code the mechatronic unit to your car. Matching the exact gearbox code keeps this straightforward.
What is included with a used gearbox?
The listing title and photos show exactly what you get. Clutches and flywheels are listed separately unless the title says they are included. Automatics may come with the torque converter and oil cooler lines fitted from the donor car, again as the title states. Ask before ordering if a specific item matters to you.
How are gearboxes delivered?
Gearboxes, differentials and transfer boxes are heavy, so they travel on a tracked UK pallet or heavy-parcel service with the delivery charge shown on the product page before you pay. Driveshafts, flywheels, mounts and pipes are free to deliver. Everything carries 30 day returns.
